One calendar. 24 numbered doors. A dumpling squishy behind each one.
My daughter started waking up and running straight to the calendar to see which squishy was next. It became this tiny little December tradition between us. Seeing how excited she was over something so simple honestly made it worth every penny.
I bought this thinking it would just be another little Christmas gift, but the squishies are genuinely adorable. My kids started naming every single one they opened. Now they have them all lined up on their bedroom shelf.
My son usually gets excited about a toy for a day and then forgets about it. This was completely different because he had something new to look forward to every morning. He still talks about which squishy was his favorite.
Let the Christmas excitement begin with the very first door.

Every morning before school, my daughter and I opened one together. It only took a minute, but somehow it became one of my favorite parts of the month. I already know I’ll be getting another one next Christmas.
I originally ordered this as a gift for my niece, but when it arrived I genuinely wanted one for myself. Everything is so cute. She absolutely loved opening the little surprises, and I definitely earned favorite-aunt points.
I wanted an advent calendar that wasn’t just candy every day. This was perfect. My daughter got something she could actually keep, play with, trade with her friends, and collect instead of eating something and forgetting about it five minutes later.
I wasn’t sure if my daughter was getting too old for advent calendars, but she absolutely loved this one. She would guess what was behind the next door every night before bed. It made the countdown to Christmas feel exciting again.
I bought it for the kids, but somehow my husband and I ended up choosing our favorite squishies too. 😂 It became a whole family thing. They’re weirdly satisfying to squeeze, and some of the designs are ridiculously cute.
December gets so busy that sometimes Christmas starts feeling stressful instead of exciting. Opening one tiny surprise with my daughter every morning gave us a little moment together before the chaos of the day. That’s what I loved most about it.
That probably says everything. My daughter loved trying to guess which dumpling she would get next, and she carried her favorites everywhere. The first thing she said when we finished the calendar was, “Can we do this again next Christmas?”
